Finally I could collect my bike.

Yesterday, after three weeks of waiting my bike finally got released from customs but not before I fork out an additional $480.

The official line: 'the container got X-rayed, something suspicious showed inside and subsequently got assigned for further examination'. In real life USA take all border activity very seriously and nearly every  shipment is treated this way, so anyone contemplating similar adventure should take this to account when planning.

Now, I have to re-assemble my bike and install all the additional gear I accumulated for this trip: Motech rack, Pelican boxes, center-stand, Scotoiler - chain oiling system, Touratech cradle for my GPS, new battery e.t.c.

Fortunately I am in the right place with some helping hand from my friends.

Just picked up from Customs

Some TLC from Mark

 Going to temporary home.

Ted and Slavek checking it out.

All good no damage in transport.

 Installing front wheel

 Installing center-stand.

 Making part to fit.

 Almost there.
