The Story

In 2009 my old time friend Adam Murcha and I embarked on the backpacking trip trough Chile and Peru. One day, while on the bus going along Colca Canyon, we passed several magnificent lookouts. We wished, we could stop to check them out, but unfortunately this wasn't an option.

Soon after, Adam came up with the idea; "lets do it again but this time on the motorbike". That great, but f
irst I had to overcome a little problem. The last time I rode the bike was about 30 years ago and it was 50cc moped.

Well, the challenge was set and here I am. Unfortunately at the last moment Adam had to pull out due to his business commitments. Hopefully he will join me somewhere on the way.

My by bike arrives by sea in LA on the 17th of June. After short stop in Santa Ana I will continue through Mexico, Central America, South America toward Tierra del
Fuego and finally ending in Ushuaia the most southern city in the world. I will avoid highways as much as practical in preference of dirt and back roads. Hey, that why I ride dual sport bike. :D

I have no specific timetable neither time limit except I want to get to
Tierra del Fuego in Argentinian summer around December, to avoid cold weather. Meaning I will be in Peru and Bolivia at the end of dry season - perfect.

I want to take it easy, stop frequently, meet people, check out local attraction and learn Spanish.
I intend to take on some Spanish immersion classes in Guatemala.
